The CAP Audition Program is our full, intensive experience for your audition year. This is where everything comes together: curated material, coaching, prescreens, CAPbaret, audition prep, and the Unifieds trip to Chicago. Many students come into the Audition Program after completing the CAP Foundations Track in their junior year. Others join for the first time as seniors or post-grads. Whatever your path, this is where we put it all into action. If you’re auditioning for acting programs, we’ll focus more heavily on monologue work—often 3–4 longer pieces in contrasting styles and time periods—while shaping any song and movement material to support your overall audition story. You’ll:
- Build a small library of audition material – at least 2–3 songs and 1–2 monologues that feel like you (3-4 monologues for acting majors)
- Learn and film a dance audition combo that can be adapted for reels and future auditions
- Experience multiple audition settings: mock auditions, dance calls, CAPbaret, and self-tapes
- Receive one-on-one and small-group coaching in voice, acting, and dance as you prep your pieces
- Leave with filmed material (prescreens and other tapes) you can submit to schools and use for future opportunities
*The Audition Track is recommended for high school Seniors and post-graduates auditioning/applying for BFA/BA programs or professional auditions.
